certification overview

PROVINCIALLY INSPECTED. TRUSTED QUALITY.

From slaughter to your plate, every step is designed to deliver consistent, safe, and healthy meat you can feel confident feeding your family, friends, or customers. Our operator license is valid for three years after its issue in 2025, and we comply by the following mandated practices continually:

Weekly inspections

Provincial inspections happen every week for slaughter at the Quill Creek Farms abattoir. Each carcass is examined by a provincially-licensed meat inspector before animals can be approved for human consumption. The inspector continuously conducts testing and monitors facility standards to issue a formal report each month, compared to health-inspected facilities inspected once per year.

Prodcedural audits

Procedural audits occur in addition to weekly inspections. These audits happen multiple times a year and provide in-depth examination of the facility and harvest practices.

Regular water testing

While health inspected facilities rely on the broad testing from public water suppliers, the abattoir passes water tests specific to the facility every three months.

Careful documentation

Transparency and traceability ensure we protect our quality standards.
