Rooted in Saskatchewan. Raised on Purpose.
Our Story
From pasture to plate, Quill Creek Farms is a generational family farm raising premium grass-fed Bison and free-range Berkshire hogs, Yaks and Speckle park cattle in the heart of Canada. We’re proud to provide local food with integrity, sustainability, and heart.

Four Generations, One Mission
Our Generational Story
What began in the early 1900s with Doug Griller’s grandfather has grown into a multi-site livestock business driven by dedication and heart. Doug and Anna Griller, along with their son, grandkids, and extended family, run the farm in Saskatchewan.
In 1996, they expanded into bison. In 2017, Berkshire hogs joined the family, alongside a custom-built abattoir. Today, the Grillers continue to evolve, guided by deep roots and future-forward values.

We don’t just raise meat
We raise it right
The Full Circle, Fully Local
Land to Market
At Quill Creek Farms, we’ve designed every step to keep things close to home:
-
Feed is grown right on our own land.
-
Animals are raised on our farms.
-
Harvesting and packaging happens in our own abattoir.
-
Meat is sold directly in our Watson storefront, or delivered to customers, chefs, and grocers across Saskatchewan.
Our “Land to Market” model means shorter supply chains, fresher products, and trust at every level. Quill Creek Farms practices regenerative agriculture and is Land to Market verified through the
Savory Institute (link). While organic certifications focus on inputs, Land to Market verification
focuses on the outcome: measurable ecological benefits from production practices. Land to
Market measures using Ecological Outcome Verification (link): soil health through organic
matter content and soil structure; biodiversity through the presence of plants, insects, and
wildlife; and ecosystem function in the water cycle and carbon cycling. The Savory Institute
sends technicians to our farm each year to take these measurements and report on
improvements. When sustainable ideas become practical and outcomes are measured, we can
be confident that our grazing systems steward the ecosystem our business relies on.
We Grow it.
We Raise it.
We Process it.
We Sell It.

Quality Meat. Community Driven.
